Frank Dantonio
Frank Dantonio was elected as a Genoa Trustee for a term of January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019 and currently serves as Vice Chairperson for the Trustees.
As a Genoa resident for the past 35 years, Frank is committed to preserving Genoa’s rural heritage and listening to Genoa taxpayers to ensure Genoa continues to provide high levels of effective and efficient public services.
With a career of 40 years specializing in state and local taxation, Frank has a strong understanding of taxes, accounting, contract negotiations, management, finances, and budgeting issues that provides a unique perspective of combining the nuances of the government, corporate, and public accounting sectors.
Previously employed with the City of Westerville, Wendy’s International, American Electric Power, Abbott Laboratories, and as a Tax Partner with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, Frank is currently the Managing Principal with Multistate Tax Service that provides tax assistance to individual and corporate taxpayers to reduce their tax liabilities.
Prior to becoming a Genoa Trustee, Frank was elected to the Big Walnut Board of Education and helped erase a $1.8 million budget deficit while maintaining high levels of student graduation rates and educational services.
Frank is presently an active member of the Tax Committees with both the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Frank serves as Genoa’s representative on an Executive Committee for the Ohio Township Association.
Frank graduated from Otterbein College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.
Frank and his wife, Yvette, live in a restored circa 1865 Victorian home in the Northern portion of Genoa, are parents to two married children, and enjoy ATV racing, boating, camping, hiking, and target shooting.
